Many travellers want to bring their dog on a scenic journey, and it’s one of the most common questions passengers ask before booking. Adding your dogs and pets policy to your Scenic listing makes life easier for those passengers — and makes your route more appealing to the significant number of people who travel with pets.
Where to find it
In the route editor, go to FAQs > Dogs & pets.
What to add
You’ll see options to select your policy — for example, whether dogs are welcome, whether they need to be kept on a lead, whether there’s a charge, or whether pets are not permitted. Select the options that apply to your route, and add any additional detail in the text field if needed.
Tips
- Be specific — “dogs welcome on a lead, max two per passenger” is far more useful than “dogs may be permitted”
- If your policy varies by season or route variant, note this clearly
- A welcoming pets policy is a genuine competitive advantage on leisure routes — if you allow dogs, make sure passengers know
- Update this field if your policy changes
