The “Places to visit & sights to see” section is where you tell passengers what they can explore along your route. It’s one of the most compelling parts of a Scenic listing — travellers love knowing what’s on their doorstep when they step off the bus.
Where to find it
In the route editor, go to Locations > Places to visit & sights to see.
How it works
You link locations from Scenic’s database to your route. These locations already exist on the Scenic website — towns, villages, nature reserves, heritage sites, and more. When you tag a location to your route, Scenic can show that location’s content (description, images, and things to do nearby) within your route listing.
If a location you want to add doesn’t exist in Scenic yet, you can add it yourself via the Locations Dashboard. Once it’s in the system, you can link it to your route.
Tips
- Add the key stops and destinations along the route — not every single stop, just the highlights
- Think about what a traveller would want to visit: market towns, viewpoints, nature reserves, heritage railways, coastal spots
- The more locations you tag, the more content appears on your listing — it makes for a much richer page
