Your headline is one of the most important fields on your route listing. It appears on route cards in search results, on the homepage, and at the top of your listing page — so it’s worth getting right.
Where to find it
In the route editor, go to Details > Headline.
What to write
Your headline should describe what makes the route worth travelling — think of it as a brief invitation rather than a formal name. It sits just below your route number or brand name, so you don’t need to repeat that here.
Good headlines are specific and evocative. “A breathtaking journey through the Lake District” works much better than “Lakeland service”. Keep it to around 10–15 words, and write it in sentence case.
Tips
- Lead with the experience or the landscape — not the logistics
- Avoid route numbers (they’re already shown separately)
- Think about what a curious traveller would find compelling
- Don’t use ALL CAPS or excessive punctuation
