When you log in to the Scenic Listings Manager and go to “Routes” you’ll be presented with the routes dashboard. A page showing you your listings that are published with options to do more.
·
Throughout the Scenic website you’ll see something that we call the Route Listing Pod – it’s the block that shows an individual bus, coach or rail route.
·
This is the hub for all the information relating to a specific bus, coach or rail route listing in the Scenic Listing Manager.
·
So you want to add a new scheduled bus, coach or rail route to Scenic. It’s pretty easy but there are a few steps to it.
·
You define the route number or brand name when you’re creating a new route. You can edit the route number or brand name at any time.
·
Another very simple set of fields to update – but very important and useful for explaining where a route runs to.
·
This is amongst the most important content on the route pages – telling the user where the route goes, what they can see along the way, which places they can expect to visit and a few fun ideas for things to do too.
·
Explaining fares & tickets to your audience is very important. Here at Scenic we want to break down the barriers to passengers travelling, and explaining which tickets offer the best value is a key way to do this.
·
A large proportion of the visitors to the Scenic website are OAPs with a free bus pass. We often get asked whether certain services accept free bus passes and have created tools to allow operators to show this on their listings.
We’re always adding new features to the website, and we’re keen to hear from the partners we work with on how we can improve further.
