1.2.1: How to close your Scenic account

You are welcome to close your account with Scenic at any time you wish. How you close your account depends on which type of account you have with us.

General user account

If you’re not managing content on Scenic and have a basic general user account you can email us and we’ll go ahead and delete your user account within 5 business days.

You can email account-cancellation@scenicbuses.co.uk from the email address associated with your account. We’ll confirm with you when your account has been removed.

Listings manager account

If you’re a user who can edit listings through the Scenic Listings Manager you’ll need to do things differently.

There are more parts of the website where your data is stored – both personal data and data associated with your listings. You’ll need to decide what you want to remove from the below list:

  • Personal data and user account
  • Delete a user that no longer works for or represents your organisation
  • Organisation data and/or all user accounts associated with it
  • Listings data

Follow the steps above for the “General user account” account deletion process and we’ll get on with removing you from Scenic.

Delete a user that no longer works for or represents your organisation

Send us an email to account-deletion@scenicbuses.co.uk from your official work email address associated with the organisation or operator you represent detailing:

  • User account(s) you want removed
  • Operators or organisations they belong to
  • Add a statement confirming you have the power to request their removal
  • Tell us who you want the content they added to Scenic reassigned to

Organisation data and/or all user accounts associated with it

Send an email to us at account-deletion@scenicbuses.co.uk from your official work email address associated with the organisation or operator you want to remove from Scenic.

You’ll need to tell us:

  • Name of organisation(s) or operator(s) you want removed from Scenic
  • Why you want to be removed from Scenic
  • User accounts associated with your account you want removed
  • Add a statement confirming you have the power to request their removal
  • Whether you’re happy for us to keep your content on Scenic – we reserve the right to retain any content we wish to, except for any content where we don’t have a licence – such as stock imagery.

Listings data

If you wish for listings data to be removed, either all or in part, you can inform our founder, Andi (andi@scenicbuses.co.uk) detailing:

  • Who you are
  • Which organisation or operator you work for
  • Which pieces of content you’d like removed – you’ll need to specify URLs
  • Why the content needs removing
  • Add a statement confirming you have the power to request their removal
