First steps

Assuming you’re using a newly registered account that is assigned to an operator, your best place to start is in the routes dashboard.

That link will show you any published routes, you can also view any draft routes assigned to your operator. You can find out more about the difference between draft and published routes in the Scenic Docs.

Are you seeing published or draft routes?

If you can see bus, coach or rail routes under “Published” or “Draft” it may be for a few reasons:

  • We have already published a route for you
  • We may have set up some draft routes for you to get started with
  • A colleague of yours may have already started with Scenic
  • You may inherit routes if the route changes between operators

If you can see existing draft or published routes, you’ll want to read our “Editing your routes” docs.

Not seeing any routes in your account?

You’ll want to get started with creating a new route. Thankfully we’ve got a series of helpful guides to take you through that process. It’s pretty straightforward but you need to follow certain processes to ensure everything is set up correctly.
